Austin, Texas-raised, Berlin-based DJ and producer Chimp Hardy has released his debut album, Animal. A high-energy journey through 90s rave, house, techno, jungle, breaks and UK bass, the record unfolds as what he describes as a "rave opera" - a continuous story built for the dance floor.

Animal follows ravers gradually transforming into animals as they reclaim the city and create a new society of their own. Driven by primal percussion, distorted club energy and cinematic atmosphere, the album balances moments of intensity with space to breathe, creating an immersive journey from beginning to end.

Beneath the club energy, Animal is also a record about resilience, recovery and transformation. Created after a period of personal rebuilding, it returns to movement, connection and the dance floor as a place of freedom. Drawing on his experiences as an LGBTQ artist, Chimp Hardy continues the tradition of underground electronic music as a space for self-expression, survival and community.

A long-time fixture of Berlin's underground scene, Chimp Hardy has spent more than 15 years behind the decks, releasing music through TRAX Records and his own K Willy Records imprint. His work has previously received support from Data Transmission, Electronic Groove and KALTBLUT, alongside livestream performances for HÖR and Beatport and an opening DJ set for Erasure.

As Chimp Hardy puts it:
