SAP Solutions Giant Edenhouse Collaborates with ODS to Bring Rich, Affordable E-Commerce to SMB clients

Its SAP Business One unit will resell ODSNet to bring a fuller e-commerce experience to sub-£150m turnover companies for a fraction of the price of comparable solutions

Guildford, UK, March 3, 2017– ODS UK, creators of ODSNet™, the B2B eCommerce platform for SAP Business One and Sage, has announced that Eden One, the SAP Business One specialist unit of SAP solution provider Edenhouse, will resell ODSNet and associated services to SMB clients looking to deliver a more sophisticated and user-friendly e-commerce experience at an affordable price point.

Reselling the ODSNet e-commerce platform, which comes with built-in integration to SAP Business One (as well as other leading ERP systems), will enable Eden One to offer a mid-priced e-commerce alternative to companies turning over up to £150 million.

“There are a couple of e-commerce solutions on the market that offer similar functionality but they are three to four times as expensive, while those costing less offer perhaps a third of the capabilities of ODSNet. The ODS platform is ideal for small-to-medium businesses that want something more than a basic web site, and offers them a lot for their money,” says Robert Furnivall, client director at Eden One.

He highlights the quality of integration between ODSNet and SAP Business One, in addition to impressive user-friendly web navigation and catalogue and promotions management capabilities, as key selling points of the ODS proposition. “Although we can provide e-commerce integration, we are not a software development company, so a pre-configured solution is very attractive,” Robert says. Tight ERP integration means that web content and web orders are reflected seamlessly right across a company’s web and back-office systems, without the need to be input separately. This automation is much more efficient and allows companies to be more creative in their promotions.

“Selling online is a key route to market for most companies now, which means that, whatever their size, they need to invest in their web sites and e-commerce functionality to take full advantage of the opportunities,” Robert notes.

“But if clients have already spent a significant amount on an ERP system and software implementation it’s a challenge to persuade them to spend the same again to plug in one of the established B2B e-commerce platforms such as Netalogue. ODS provides similar features for 2-3 times less, so is a great alternative for us to be able to offer.”

Eden One has a strong client base in wholesale manufacture and distribution, and in the food and beverages sector in particular, paving the way for new business opportunities for ODS in those markets.
