Founder James Whitfield, a recruitment consultant for six years, says the industry consistently trains its people to find candidates while leaving them unequipped to find clients.
"I watched good recruiters lose their jobs because the agency ran out of roles to fill," Whitfield said. "Nobody had ever taught them how to open a conversation with an employer. We call it a talent shortage. It is a sales gap."
Pipeline North works with recruitment agencies of two to fifteen staff, building outreach systems that generate meetings with hiring employers. The company is based in Manchester and works with agencies across the UK.
Whitfield added that smaller agencies are often better at delivery than their larger competitors, but lose out because they have no consistent way of getting in front of employers.
