GigNGo Publishes Real Home-Service Price Data and Opens Its Marketplace to AI Assistants

Homeowners deserve to know what a fair price looks like before they hire anyone. We publish only what real people actually budget on our marketplace. -- Cameron Lockrey, founder of GigNGo
Grand Rapids, MI - July 14, 2026 - GigNGo, the no-lead-fee local services marketplace, today published free public cost guides for 28 common home services, computed from the budgets of real jobs posted on its marketplace rather than estimates. The company also announced that its marketplace is now directly accessible to AI assistants through an open Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint.
Most cost guides online are modeled estimates. GigNGo's guides at https://gigngo.org/costs report the median and typical range of what people actually budget when they post a job. For example, house cleaning jobs on GigNGo carry a median budget of $200, with most falling between $120 and $250, and moving help carries a median budget of $150. Each guide states its sample size and methodology, and categories without enough data say so plainly rather than showing invented numbers.
"Homeowners deserve to know what a fair price looks like before they hire anyone," said Cameron Lockrey, founder of GigNGo. "We publish only what real people actually budget on our marketplace. When we don't have enough data for a service, the page says so - we would rather be honest than complete."
The company publishes the other side of the same data for people looking for work: https://gigngo.org/earnings reports what local workers earn per job, by service, from the same marketplace data.
GigNGo also opened its marketplace to AI assistants. Any MCP-compatible AI tool - including Claude and other leading assistants - can now connect to https://gigngo.org/mcp to search available local workers by service and city, check coverage, and browse open jobs, with no API key required. GigNGo believes it is among the first local-services marketplaces to offer a public MCP endpoint.
Unlike lead-generation platforms, GigNGo charges local workers no lead fees and takes no commission: consumers post a task free of charge, local workers apply directly, and workers keep what they earn. The platform covers 30 service categories across all 50 US states, with mobile apps for iOS and Android.
