Bal Raksha Bharat Appoints Dr. Prajapati Trivedi as Chairperson

New Delhi, [23/06/2026] - Bal Raksha Bharat (Also known as Save the Children, India) welcomes Dr. Prajapati Trivedi as Chairperson of the organisation, succeeding Mr. Deepak Kapoor, who completes nine years of distinguished service with Bal Raksha Bharat, including eight years as Chairperson . Dr. Trivedi brings extensive experience in public policy, governance, public administration, performanjce management and sustainable development. He currently serves as Distinguished Professor at the School of Public Policy and Governance, Management Development Institute (MDI), NCR, and has held several senior leadership positions with the Government of India, the Commonwealth Secretariat and the World Bank.
His distinguished career includes serving as Secretary to the Government of India in the Cabinet Secretariat/Prime Minister's Office, as Commonwealth Secretary-General's Special Envoy for SDG Implementation, as Senior Director at the Commonwealth Secretariat, as Economic Adviser to the Government of India, and as Senior Economist at the World Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
His appointment comes at a significant time for Bal Raksha Bharat as the organisation continues to deepen its work in Child health and nutrition, quality education for children, child protection, humanitarian response and partnerships that improve child welfare and development outcomes across India.
