Seedance 2.5 Unveiled: 30s Video Generation, 50+ Multimodal

ByteDance officially introduced Seedance 2.5 at the 2026 Volcano Engine FORCE Summit, marking a major upgrade in its AI video generation technology. The model is currently in enterprise beta testing and is expected to be released to the public in early July 2026.

Seedance 2.5 represents a significant step forward in generative video systems. It improves video length, multimodal input capacity, and creative control. The update focuses on enabling more complete and consistent video generation for both creative and industrial use cases.

1. Extended Video Generation to 30 Seconds

One of the most important upgrades in Seedance 2.5 is its support for up to 30 seconds of continuous video generation in a single pass. This doubles the previous 15-second limit in Seedance 2.0.

The longer generation window allows for more coherent storytelling.
