ROCKFORD, Illinois - Independent publisher Wolf Twin Books announces the release of Vanished Roads, a new collection of 104 contemporary haiku by poet Thomas L. Vaultonburg.

Published by Wolf Twin Books, Vanished Roads explores grief, renewal, attention, and gratitude through concise poems rooted in everyday experience. Rather than focusing on loss alone, the collection follows a path toward acceptance and presence.

The book represents a creative collaboration between Vaultonburg and artist Tré, co-founder of Wolf Twin Books. In addition to designing the cover, Tré created eight original interior illustrations that appear throughout the volume, giving the collection a visual identity that complements its themes of memory, nature, and transformation.

"Vanished Roads is not a book about finding your way back," said Vaultonburg. "It's about learning how to continue when the way back no longer exists."

Wolf Twin Books was founded to publish distinctive literary works that might otherwise be overlooked by larger commercial publishers. The partnership combines Vaultonburg's decades of experience as a poet and small-press publisher with Tré's visual artistry and design work.

Vaultonburg's haiku have appeared in numerous journals including The Heron's Nest, Modern Haiku, Presence, Acorn, and Mayfly. Vanished Roads continues a creative journey that began when he turned to haiku practice in 2020.
