Fast Company Names Flywheel Motion a 2026 World Changing Idea - Built on Three Years of Global Field Research

Impact-strategist Andi Cross and technology and AI executive Thomas Prommer built an intelligent discoverability platform after a 50-country research mission revealed a structural visibility gap facing the world's most important change-makers.
New York - June 18, 2026 - Flywheel Motion, the intelligent discoverability platform for mission-driven people and organizations, has been named an honoree in Fast Company's 2026 World Changing Ideas Awards in the General Excellence category. The platform was built by impact strategist Andi Cross [https://andicross.com/?utm_source=abnewswire&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=fastco-wci-award-jun2026&utm_content=abnewswire-web] and technology and AI executive Thomas Prommer [https://prommer.net/?utm_source=abnewswire&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=fastco-wci-award-jun2026&utm_content=abnewswire-web], following three years of global field research that documented a systemic gap between real-world impact and online visibility.

The Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards, now in its ninth year, recognize projects delivering measurable change across industries. This year's panel of editors and reporters evaluated more than 1,500 entries across 14 categories. The full list is featured on fastcompany.com, with select honorees appearing in the Summer 2026 print issue on newsstands June 23.

Flywheel Motion combines web infrastructure, intelligent publishing systems, search optimization, analytics, authority architecture, and strategic storytelling into one connected ecosystem-purpose-built for experts and organizations doing critical work without the visibility infrastructure to match. The platform functions as a compounding network: as each member's authority and discoverability grows, the collective's reach strengthens, creating shared momentum no individual presence could build alone.

The platform grew directly from the findings of Edges of Earth [https://edgesofearth.com/?utm_source=abnewswire&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=fastco-wci-award-jun2026&utm_content=abnewswire-web], the multi-year global research expedition launched by Andi Cross and Adam Moore in 2023. Over three years spanning more than fifty countries, the team embedded with scientists, Indigenous leaders, conservationists, researchers, and grassroots organizations on the frontlines of ecological change. The same pattern surfaced in every geography: the people doing the most consequential work were nearly impossible to find online. That structural disconnect became the founding brief for Flywheel Motion. We The Flywheel [https://wetheflywheel.com?utm_source=abnewswire&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=fastco-wci-award-jun2026&utm_content=abnewswire-web] - the ai-native media, technology, and product studio - brought the 20+ years of digital engineering and growth operations experience into the mix that made the vision a reality.

"The recognition from Fast Company is meaningful, but what drives this work is every person we met across fifty countries who never got to be found," said Cross. "Flywheel Motion exists because invisibility is no longer just a communications challenge-it has become a structural barrier to impact at scale."

The platform today serves venture investors, climate scientists, conservationists, health researchers, and mission-driven founders across sectors whose expertise far outweighs their current digital presence.

"The World Changing Ideas Awards are more than inspiration. They're a measure of real-world impact," said Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan. "This year's honorees are turning bold ideas into tangible solutions and addressing urgent global challenges with creativity and rigor."
