Studio Lab Named Top 3 at SuperAI 2026, Secures $250,000 MS Azure Grant
Studio Lab (CEO Kang Sung-hoon), an AI & Robotics-based commerce content automation company, announced on June 12 that it had been selected as a final Top 3 in the 'Genesis Startup Competition,' at Asia's largest AI conference, 'SuperAI 2026.'
SuperAI is Asia's largest AI conference held on June 10 to 11 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore with participation of more than 10,000 attendees from 150 countries, over 1,500 AI companies, and more than 150 speakers. 'Genesis' is a startup competition for which Microsoft and OpenAI participated as official partners. The final 3 teams were screened from over 700 support teams after advancing through the Top 50, Top 10, and Top 5 rounds. The total prize money amounted to US$2.3 million (approx. KRW 3.1 billion), and Studio Lab secured Microsoft Azure credits worth US$250,000 (approx. KRW 380 million) by finishing in the Top 3.
After being selected as the Top 50 and subsequently the Top 10 through preliminary screening, Studio Lab advanced to the Top 5 following a live pitch and Q&A session in the 1st round (WEKA Stage) on June 10. On June 11, Studio Lab was named a Top 3 finalist on the main stage after an additional pitch presentation and Q&A session with the judges and audience in the final round.
Studio Lab took the stage with its Physical AI-based solution that automates the entire process, from photographing products to production of e-commerce content. The company's core product, GENCY, is an AI SaaS that automatically creates thumbnails, product detail pages, and A+ content within 60 seconds simply by uploading a product photo. GENCY PB is an AI-powered robotic photography solution (RaaS) in which a robot autonomously captures images of subjects. They are currently used by more than 50 enterprise clients, including F&F (MLB, Discovery), Shinsung Tongsang, and Hilight Brands, as well as over 6,000 SMBs.
Immediately after its award win, Studio Lab held meetings with numerous global sales leads and investors, and secured the bridgehead for entering the APAC market. During the event, Studio Lab held one-on-one meetings with global companies and venture capital firms such as Google VP, 3one4 Capital, Jungle Ventures, and Betatron.
