Ayse Durmush, AI Visibility Expert and Founder of The GEO Agency, speaking at TravelTech Show 2026
AI Visibility Expert and Founder of The GEO Agency, Ayse Durmush, is speaking at TravelTech Show 2026, taking place on 24-25 June 2026 at ExCeL London - Europe's leading travel technology event. Ayse will take to the stage in the Turing Theatre on 24 June (11:00-12:00) for a session titled "From SEO to GEO and make yourself visible in the new AI world," addressing one of the most urgent digital challenges facing the travel industry today. Full details here https://traveltech-show.com/conference-programmeThe session comes at a critical moment. Gartner predicts a 25% drop in traditional search volume by 2026 as AI-powered tools reshape how people discover and book travel. When a traveller asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews (artificial intelligence-generated search results) to recommend a hotel, airline, or destination, there is a brand that gets cited - and a brand that doesn't. Research from Adobe shows a 4,700% rise in AI referral traffic to retail sites, while Semrush reports AI search visitors convert at 4.4 times the rate of traditional search visitors. Despite this shift, most travel brands have no Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategy in place.
Ayse Durmush, Founder of The GEO Agency, comments: "AI search is not a future problem for the travel industry - it is happening right now. Every time a traveller asks an AI tool to recommend a hotel, airline or destination, there is a brand that appears and a brand that doesn't. Most travel businesses don't yet know which one they are. This session is about giving them the knowledge to find out and the strategy to fix it."
The GEO Agency is the UK's only full-stack AI visibility agency, covering Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), Reputation Management and AI Automation under one roof. Unlike traditional SEO agencies bolting on AI services, The GEO Agency was built from the ground up to address every layer of modern digital visibility.
Ayse brings nearly 30 years of enterprise digital transformation experience, having led commercial and digital strategy for brands including Virgin Media, O2 Telefonica, RBS/NatWest, Samsung, LEGO and ITN. She is the author of The ChatGPT Millionaire Blueprint and a contributor to GQ Magazine and The Independent.
TravelTech Show 2026 is headline sponsored by Anthropic, the AI company behind Claude, underlining the central role AI now plays across the travel technology sector. The show is expected to attract over 2,000 senior travel technology decision-makers across its two days at ExCeL London.
