About the Author

John Infortunio is a lifelong Brooklynite whose writing is deeply influenced by the neighborhoods and Italian and Irish culture that shaped his upbringing. Born in 1972, he grew up surrounded by a strong appreciation for education, literature, music, and storytelling, with values passed down by his parents and reflected throughout his work.

A graduate of Bishop Ford High School and St. Francis College, John developed early passions for theater, literature, and education. He spent sixteen years teaching English, History, and Philosophy at his alma mater while also serving as Athletic Director and coaching the school's championship-winning basketball team. His career in education has now spanned more than three decades.

John's debut novel, Destroyed by the Events of the Day, was a fifteen-year passion project published through Palmetto Publishing. His second novel, Today Was Tomorrow , released in 2026, further showcased his reflective and character-driven storytelling.
