My Apartment Podcast
"As a society, we're infatuated with exploring the outside world we live in, and what secrets galaxies might hold in the far reaches of the universe. But how often, if ever, do we consider what is contained in our own personal living space? In this podcast, I'm going to travel in the opposite direction, on an inward journey, and investigate every nook and cranny at 13433 Detroit Avenue, here in Lakewood, Ohio. I'll examine the mundane, yet oftentimes strange world of life at home. It's the place where I rest, work, hang out and sometimes, just observe."
J.D Belcher is an author, screenwriter and journalist. He serves as editor for the online news publication The Yellow Party News and the daily devotional website Ephod and Breastplate. His memoir Hades' Melody was longlisted for the 2019 Sante Fe Writers Project literary awards. The Inescapable Consequence, his first fiction novel, was released in the spring of 2021. Belcher's latest short story, The Laderman Affair, appears in Cleveland Noir, an Akashic Books anthology published in August 2023. My Apartment, a narrative storytelling podcast which he wrote, directed and produced, was released in June 2026.
