The Procedure

The procedure starts with the administration of wet or super wet saline solution via a subdermal injection to dilute the body fat and so facilitate the isolation of blood vessels to prevent blood loss. The fat is taken usually from the abdomen, hips or thigh areas with small incisions made by the cannula. The cannula is oscillated all over the treatable area that dislodges the fat and turns it into a liquid. The liquefied fat is then drained out of the body using an aspiration mechanism, and stored in a steril jar.
Once the fat is collected, it is sterilized to remove all impurities, the anaesthetics, and floating tissues from the fat. The sterilized fat is then injected to the breast as required. Even though the fat grafting is instant, the actual augmentation takes several weeks to appear. This is however not ideal for micro-mastia and very small breasts. The fat grafting offers a suble enhancement.
