LOST PADRE MINE WINS BEST INDEPENDENT LOW BUDGET FEATURE AT THE 2025 WORLD CINEMA AWARDS

Washington, D.C. May 30th, 2026. Noble Park Films is proud to announce that Lost Padre Mine, the 87-minute independent feature film directed by David Noble, has won Best Independent Low Budget Feature at the 2025 World Cinema Awards. The honor places the locally produced film on the international stage and celebrates the talent of the cast and crew who brought it to life entirely within the communities of Southern New Mexico and West Texas.
Lost Padre Mine follows Wayne Braddock, a disreputable treasure hunter who accepts an unlikely invitation from a member of the local clergy to search for the legendary Padre LaRue Spanish gold mine - a mystery steeped in history and long whispered about in the borderlands region.
"This award means the world to everyone who poured their heart into this film," said director David Noble. "We made this movie right here in our own backyard with our own community. To be recognized on the world stage is something we never take for granted." The film was originally shot on location in 2015 across Las Cruces, El Paso, Socorro, Sunland Park, and surrounding areas of Texas and New Mexico. True to its regional roots, Lost Padre Mine was made entirely with local talent - from cast to crew.
Lead actor Mark Vasconcellos headlines the film, joined by Stephanie Frias, Hector Dez, and Cesar Miramontes, all from the El Paso area. Behind the camera, Camera Hogs LLC of Las Cruces served as the production's cinematography team, while post-production was handled by PRC Productions, also based in Las Cruces. Distribution of the film is managed by Borderlands Media of Las Cruces.
David Noble is an acclaimed filmmaker and author known for his work in many genres. His unique ability to transform familiar stories into gripping narratives has earned him recognition across multiple creative disciplines. Since his feature directorial debut with "Zydeco" in 2011, Noble has expanded his cinematic portfolio to include the martial arts action film "Knight Squad," and the steampunk-themed Sci-Fi story "Secret Within the Sphere." His films have earned recognition at over 30 film festivals worldwide.
