Exponentia.ai Awarded Highly Commended Agentic AI Solution at the British Data Awards 2026

For the third consecutive year, Exponentia.ai has been recognised at the British Data Awards, this time receiving a Highly Commended accolade in the Agentic AI Solution of the Year category at the 2026 ceremony in London.

The Evening

On the 20th of May, the Exponentia.ai UK & Europe team joined over 700 of the UK's leading data and AI professionals at a sold-out ceremony in the heart of London, marking the sixth edition of what has become the country's most prominent celebration of data-driven achievement. The room brought together organisations of every shape and size including FTSE 100 heavyweights, global technology firms, public sector innovators, and fast-growing start-ups. A record 462 entries were submitted this year, the highest in the award's history, making the field as competitive as it has ever been.

Our Recognition

This year carried particular significance for us. For the first time, Exponentia.ai was shortlisted across two categories:

- Agentic AI Solution of the Year

- Data Management Solution of the Year

Earning recognition across two distinct disciplines in the same year is a reflection to the range of work our teams are delivering across the business. Our Highly Commended award in the Agentic AI Solution of the Year category was received for a pricing solution we built for one of the world's largest operators of food and beverage outlets across airports.

The Solution

Pricing inside airports is a uniquely complex challenge. Airport authority regulations require that menu prices remain closely aligned with comparable street-side restaurants within the same geographic or regulatory catchment area, meaning operators must constantly monitor the outside market and price accordingly, at scale, across hundreds of outlets.

Our solution does exactly that. AI Agents intelligently crawl off-airport restaurant menus and matches items not just by name, but by ingredients and add-ons, ensuring a true like-for-like comparison even where menu components differ. It then allocates in-airport prices within the markup thresholds permitted by the relevant airport authorities - always keeping the organisation both commercially competitive and fully compliant.

This is the kind of problem where agentic AI earns its place, in a high high-stakes, data-intensive, and with real commercial and regulatory consequence. We are proud of what the team built, and proud that the industry has recognised it.
