CUDA Optics Announces Two U.S. Patents for Red Dot Technology That Maintains Intensity in Changing Light

Casselberry, Florida - CUDA Optics, a division of Zvetco LLC, announced that its RX 795 red dot reflex sight, incorporating IntelliDOT Trademark technology, is now protected by two U.S. patents covering a constant-intensity system designed to keep the aiming dot visually correct as lighting conditions change.

For shooters, one of the most common problems with red dot sights is that the dot does not maintain the correct intensity when the environment changes. Move from a dark room into bright daylight, or from bright sun into shadow, and a dot that was set correctly a moment ago can suddenly appear too dim or too bright. The patented CUDA approach addresses that problem by adjusting dot intensity 10 times per second using a forward facing ambient light sensor and a mathematical formula.

The patents cover a red dot sight system that uses an ambient light sensor, an internal controller, and an algorithm to continuously modify dot output as light conditions change.

The two issued patents are U.S. Patent No. 12,392,579 B2, issued August 19, 2025, and U.S. Patent No. 12,429,305 B1, issued September 30, 2025. Both are titled "Constant Intensity Light Regulating Firearm Sight Device," name Zevolun Cohen, John Russell, and Robin Rice as inventors, and are assigned to Zvetco LLC of Casselberry, Florida.
