Explora Books to Host Book Signing with Stewart T. Monti Sr. at the BIBF 2026
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 21st May 2026 - The two books are interconnected medieval fiction novels set in the fictional village of Darwick. Mary and Sir Edward follows twelve-year-old Mary, a farm girl managing her household while her father is away at war. When a wounded knight arrives at her home, her decision to help him sets off events that affect both her family and the wider kingdom.
Hillary and Sir Edward continues the story a generation later through Mary's daughter, Hillary. Raised in a blacksmith's forge and trained in combat and strategy, she enters King Henry's court after Sir Edward recognizes her potential. Disguised as a boy, she must prove herself through discipline and composure as she navigates court politics, a tournament, and a coup attempt that tests her skills and integrity.
Together, the novels form a multigenerational medieval fiction saga centered on legacy, resilience, and character-driven storytelling. The series emphasizes discipline, moral resolve, and the development of strength across generations rather than spectacle or fantasy excess.
Stewart T. Monti Sr., a retired U.S. Air Force Major and former C-130 pilot, channels his military and academic background into his writing. He began with poetry, publishing 135 Poems for Today (2017), and now writes medieval fiction inspired by his diverse experiences.
Attendees at the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair will have the opportunity to meet Stewart T. Monti Sr. and obtain signed copies of both books.
