Guithues Challenges Incumbent Tokuda to Impeach Both the President and Vice President

Greg Guithues, retired Ocean View resident, challenges Jill Tokuda for her job because she won't impeach.
Greg Guithues posted an open letter to Jill Tokuda on Friday. He offers her the opportunity to avoid his primary challenge. Both the President and the Vice President must be impeached. If she doesn't act, he will. Filing deadline is June 2. If she introduces or cosponsors new articles of impeachment against both the President and the Vice President by June 2, Greg will withdraw his candidacy and support her. Otherwise he gives her a run for her money.

"I challenge her because she continues in her current path following the instructions of Democratic Party leadership by not supporting impeachment. The Primary is in July/August. I challenge her to a debate in June or early July. She's my representative. She needs to defend her position. I challenge all comers to this very important midterm election debate." The argument for impeachment makes itself. Those who follow the news and what's happened to the Justice Department, as an example, know there is more than adequate reason to impeach. But that is one of so many justifications. One could speculate about Democratic Party leadership's motivation for discouraging impeachment. "But it's my kuleana to do everything I can. If she won't do it, I will have to. It must be done."
Guithues' platform is Bernie Sanders style progressive. If some members of a society are without adequate food, shelter, medical care, or education opportunity, then that society cannot afford a single billionaire. All of us or none of us. That ties to basic human dignity.
