Haar - Munich District / At their local general meeting on April 29, 2026, the Haar Liberals set the course for the next two years. Meeting Room 2 of the Haar Community Center was well-attended when the official meeting began at 7:30 p.m. Nadja Parthier, co-chair of the Liberal Women of Upper Bavaria, presided over the election of the new executive board together with Mahmut Tuerker, chair of the FDP Munich-East district association. She praised the high turnout as public proof of the local association's successful work.
The incumbent local chair, Dr. Peter Siemsen, was re-elected by the members without a single dissenting vote. In his report and the post-election review that preceded it, he cited not only the dedicated local election campaign but, above all, the local association's substantive and communicative work as key factors in the successful re-election to the city council. Given the challenging circumstances leading up to the election, this outcome had been far from certain. He was all the more pleased to be able to repeat the statement from the nomination meeting in October 2025 that evening to great applause: "The FDP in Haar is here, it is felt, and it is effective. I thank the members for this overwhelming support," Dr. Peter Siemsen declared after his re-election as local chairman. The unanimous vote underscores the great confidence in his leadership and work to date.
The personnel decisions in the subsequent rounds of voting were also unanimous and reflect a mix of experience and new leadership: Alexander Schroeder, who previously served on the committee as an assessor, was elected as the new deputy local chair. Dr. Beatrice Siemsen will continue to serve as secretary. Sellyhome Addisu will now strengthen the team as an alternate member. The young home economics apprentice aims to make a significant impact in the areas of youth and social affairs. The Haar Liberals bid farewell to Dr. Gabriela Berg with a round of applause. The long-time deputy chair had moved to the Altoetting district at the end of March 2026 and joined the local FDP district association there.
The FDP Haar believes that with its newly elected executive board, it is well-equipped to continue playing a decisive role in shaping local politics as a force for reason. "With Alexander Schroeder as deputy chair and an executive board half-composed of dedicated, talented women, we are excellently positioned in terms of both personnel and issues to further advance what is necessary and feasible in Haar. Our core priorities remain strengthening Haar as a modern business hub, ensuring reliable childcare, and making the administration more citizen-friendly through digital innovations," said Peter Siemsen, head of the Haar FDP, in his closing remarks.
