New York, May 11, 2026 - New York-based art and technology practice LV Agency, Inc. announced the public launch of SurR: The System of Temporal Law, a 62-second audiovisual artwork submitted to the 2026 ABS Digital Art Prize under the theme SYSTEMS. The work constructs what its creator describes as an "impossible bridge" between the mathematical theories of Russian Futurist Velimir Khlebnikov and the cryptographic logic introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. The public release is now available through the project's official YouTube channel and contributes to ongoing discussions surrounding AI art authorship, blockchain provenance, and the future of digital cultural memory.

The artwork is structured around a precise numerical equation:

This formula organizes the piece into two 27-second movements followed by an 8-second concluding sequence described as "Two towers of time. One cube of chain." Rather than treating mathematics as decoration, the project uses numerical structure as the governing framework for duration, image sequencing, sound design, and narrative progression. The work positions systems themselves as the artwork's operative medium, merging cinematic composition with blockchain-inspired logic. Its transitions behave like hashing processes, its layered visual construction echoes Merkle branching, and its corridor sequence references the "six confirmations plus one" depth associated with blockchain consensus systems.

The audiovisual sequence unfolds across seven interconnected stages. It begins in darkness, where handwritten golden equations drift across torn paper before igniting into combustion. The explosion transforms into prismatic fragmentation and later cools into a blue-white "Corridor of Confirmations," through which the viewer travels block by block. The structure subsequently opens into chromatic instability before resolving into a luminous sphere suspended above a pyramidal tower of golden ledger-like blocks. The final movement expands into a vast peer-to-peer constellation composed of interconnected nodes, suggesting a distributed system in which every participant contributes to the integrity of the whole.

According to founder Vladi Lepi, the project advances a framework he describes as "Numeric Humanism," proposing that numbers are not merely abstract calculations but active cultural, historical, poetic, and technological forces. The work also addresses the growing debate surrounding AI-generated imagery and authorship. Rather than presenting artificial intelligence as an autonomous creator, the project positions the human artist as the directing intelligence responsible for structure, sequencing, selection, and final execution within computational systems.

The artwork was minted on the Ethereum mainnet through OpenSea at 08:07 AM EDT on April 30, 2026, establishing public on-chain provenance prior to its May 7 public launch. Later that same day, at 3:33 PM EDT, the project was officially submitted for consideration in the 4th ABS Digital Art Prize.
