Comttraex UG Achieves EU Organic Certification Press Release

FRANKFURT, GERMANY - Comttraex UG has officially received EU organic certification from ABCert AG (DE-ÖKO-006), an EU accredited organic control body, in compliance with the Regulation 2018/848. This complements Comttraex Nigeria's existing certification for production, handling and export, also accredited by an EU-accredited control body, ECOCERT (NG-BIO-154).

Comttraex now has end-to-end visibility to ensure this, rather than merely depend on certification of third-party. This enhances its ability to ensure its hibiscus adheres with the principle of sustainability required for organic - the principle of fairness is enshrined not only to the end-consumer, but to the people and the environment it comes from.

Better Value at the Source. By managing the supply chain directly, more of the benefit flows back to where it begins; to the farmers who grow the crop and the communities whose livelihoods depend on it. Every link in the Comttraex chain, from cultivation to export, is a job created and a life supported.

More Flexibility for European Buyers. Until now, European customers had to commit to full container loads to source from Comttraex - a high bar. With Comttraex UG operating in Frankfurt, clients can now order in smaller, flexible quantities in Less than Container Load (LCL) forms. Certified organic products are accessible to more buyers, at the volumes that actually work for their business.

Market Intelligence, Closer to the Market. Having a registered presence in Europe means Comttraex is no longer operating from a distance. The team can directly track what European buyers want, respond faster to demand, and feed that insight back into production decisions in West Africa - keeping supply and market needs in step.
