Combining her extensive background in law enforcement and social work with a deep commitment to family advocacy, Pettis will focus on providing compassionate, strategic legal counsel to clients navigating complex domestic matters.Before dedicating her legal career exclusively to family law, Pettis spent over a decade as a decorated police officer and detective in both New Orleans and Atlanta. Her investigative work largely centered on high-stakes cases, including domestic violence and human trafficking. Her distinguished law enforcement career includes being named Officer of the Year in New Orleans in 2010 and becoming the first female Valedictorian of the Atlanta Police Academy.
This deep-rooted experience navigating family crisis situations makes her an exceptionally effective advocate for her legal clients. As a dedicated divorce lawyer in Marietta, Pettis integrates her investigative instincts with empathy, helping families transition peacefully and confidently into their next chapters.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Pettis earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and a Master's in Social Work from Tulane University, where she focused on law enforcement responses to domestic violence. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. During her legal studies, she gained vital experience interning with the Georgia Attorney General's Office, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, and the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office. She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.
