GH2 Solar Signs Landmark MoU with Deendayal Port Authority to Establish India's First Green Hydrogen Export Hub at Kandla

Kandla, May 5, 2026: GH2 Solar Limited, India's only integrated green hydrogen platform spanning solar generation, electrolyser manufacturing, and green hydrogen production, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, to undertake a "Joint Feasibility Study & Strategic Roadmap" for the export of Liquid Green Hydrogen from Kandla Port, Gujarat. This landmark agreement positions Kandla as India's first designated Green Hydrogen Export Hub and marks a transformative step in the country's green energy transition journey.
The MoU was formalised at Kandla Port and underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to advance sustainable, future-ready maritime operations. The collaboration will create a strategic framework for green energy logistics infrastructure at one of India's largest and most strategically located ports.
Under the MoU, GH2 Solar and DPA Kandla will jointly assess the technical, regulatory, and commercial feasibility of establishing end-to-end infrastructure for the liquefaction, storage, and marine export of green hydrogen. This includes evaluating berthing facilities, cryogenic storage terminals, and pipeline connectivity required to enable large-scale LH2 exports to international markets.

Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, is one of India's premier major ports, strategically situated on the west coast of Gujarat. Known for its high cargo-handling capacity and existing bulk liquid terminal infrastructure, DPA Kandla has been at the forefront of India's port modernisation and sustainability agenda. The port's Chairman, Sushil Kumar Singh, has reaffirmed DPA's commitment to positioning Kandla as a global hub in the green energy transition, in alignment with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
The initiative is aligned with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, which targets the production of 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030, with a significant portion earmarked for export. Green hydrogen, produced through electrolysis powered entirely by renewable energy, is rapidly emerging as a critical clean fuel for hard-to-abate sectors including shipping, steel, and chemicals.
GH2 Solar's integrated platform - encompassing solar generation, proprietary electrolyser manufacturing, and green hydrogen production - uniquely positions it to supply cost-competitive, certified green hydrogen at scale. The Kandla partnership extends this capability to the global market by enabling seaborne LH2 export at commercial volumes.
This agreement follows GH2 Solar's recent announcement of a 100 MW AC (120 MWp DC) utility-scale solar project integrated with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, underscoring the company's accelerating growth across the clean energy value chain.
