African American Women Trucking Association Launches Youth Workforce Program at New Doraville Training Hub
Doraville, GA - The African American Women Trucking Association is proud to announce the launch of its Future Forward Youth Supply Chain & Logistics Program, a workforce development initiative designed to equip youth ages 15-19 with critical skills for careers in one of the nation's fastest-growing industries.The program will officially begin in June 15th 2026 and will be hosted at AAWTA's newly established training and innovation center, The Power Lab, located at 5269 Buford Highway, Doraville 30340.
Registration is now open, and parents are encouraged to enroll their students early. AAWTA is currently offering an early bird discount of up to 30% off tuition through June 1, 2026, providing families with an opportunity to secure access to this high-impact program at a reduced rate.
Building the Next Generation of Industry Leaders
The Future Forward Youth Program is designed to introduce participants to real-world opportunities across the supply chain and logistics ecosystem. Through hands-on instruction and guided learning, students will gain exposure to:
Trucking 101,Supply chain fundamentals and logistics operations
Entrepreneurship and business development
Career readiness and professional development skills
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by creating early access pathways into high-demand careers within trucking, logistics, and supply chain management.
Introducing The Power Lab: A Hub for Learning and Opportunity
The program will be hosted at AAWTA's new facility, The Power Lab, a hybrid training and workforce development space designed to serve as a central hub for education, innovation, and community engagement.
Located in Doraville, The Power Lab provides:
In-person and virtual (hybrid) learning capabilities
Classroom-style workforce training for small cohorts
Space for hands-on instruction, collaboration, and program development
This new location reinforces AAWTA's commitment to creating accessible, community-based workforce solutions that extend beyond traditional training models.
