Promizi Analysis Highlights Changing Online Shopping Behavior Across Europe
WARSAW, POLAND - As online shopping continues to expand across Europe, new analysis from Promizi highlights how consumer behavior is evolving toward more value-driven purchasing decisions.Recent data from Eurostat shows that a growing share of European consumers now regularly shop online, reflecting the increasing importance of digital retail channels across the region. At the same time, economic pressure and rising costs have made price sensitivity a central factor in consumer decision-making.
Promizi's analysis suggests that this shift is directly influencing how shoppers approach discounts and savings opportunities. Searching for coupon codes and promotional offers has become a common step in the online purchase journey, particularly in competitive retail categories.
However, the availability and reliability of these offers does not always match user expectations. Many shoppers encounter expired or restricted codes, leading to inconsistent experiences during checkout.
"The European market is becoming increasingly focused on value, but accuracy and transparency are essential for that to work effectively," said Pawel Kruszynski, founder of Promizi.
The analysis also reflects broader structural changes in e-commerce. Retailers are increasingly relying on targeted promotions, limited-time discounts and personalized offers. While these strategies can improve conversion rates, they can also reduce the visibility of widely available coupon codes.
At the same time, traditional coupon aggregation models often depend on static listings, which may not reflect real-time changes in availability. This creates a gap between what consumers expect to find and what is actually valid at checkout.
As European e-commerce continues to grow, this gap may become more significant. With millions of transactions taking place daily, even small inefficiencies in how discounts are discovered can have a large cumulative impact.
Industry observers note that improving transparency and real-time accuracy may become increasingly important as online shopping continues to evolve across Europe.
