Oklahoma City's Own Prescription for Good Music Brings an EDM-Forward Set to One of the Region's Largest Free Music Events
NORMAN, Oklahoma - April 22, 2026 - DJ Ku Rx, the Oklahoma City-based open-format DJ and performer known as The Prescription for Good Music, performs at the Norman Music Festival on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Bison Witches Garage Stage, 211 E. Main Street, Norman, Oklahoma. Set time is 7:30 PM. Admission is free.

A fixture at NMF since 2019 with multiple appearances, Ku Rx returns this year with a set built around new sounds he's been developing - an EDM-forward approach that pushes past the open-format comfort zone he's known for. For anyone who has watched him grow into one of Oklahoma's most dependable live acts, this year's set is one worth showing up early for.

"I'm excited to play some new sounds I've been experimenting with and showcase my style of EDM," said Ku Rx. "It's always exciting to play Oklahoma's largest independent music festival and turn up with people who are passionate about this brand of music."
Norman Music Festival draws between 70,000 and 100,000 attendees to downtown Norman across three days each April - making it one of the most significant free music events in the entire region, with over 300 performances across dozens of stages.

DJ Ku Rx has shared stages with DJ Pauly D, DJ Drama, and Waka Flocka Flame, and has built a festival résumé that includes Backwoods Music Festival 2015 alongside Porter Robinson and Infected Mushroom, Daydream OKC 2016 alongside Galantis and Snails, Foam Wonderland Force of Nature Tour 2016 alongside Deorro and 3LAU, and the Life in Color After Party 2013 at Cox Convention Center Oklahoma City.

Beyond festivals, Ku Rx currently holds a Friday night residency at 15 Nightclub in Bricktown, Oklahoma City, and is entering his second season as featured entertainment at Choctaw Landing Resort in Hochatown - one of Oklahoma's fastest-growing destination resort properties. He is a former on-air mix DJ for Power 103.5 FM OKC on The Takeover Live Mix Show from 2013 to 2014, and has served as headline DJ for the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk in Oklahoma City for four consecutive years from 2023 through 2026.
