Interact Club of Redbridge Conducts Summer Camp at Mutharayana Doddi Government Primary School

Rotary eConnect, in collaboration with the Interactors of Redbridge International School, successfully organized a two-day summer camp on April 15 and 16, 2026, for the students of Muthrayanaswamy Doddi Government Lower Primary School. The initiative was designed to provide a holistic learning experience by combining academic enrichment with creative expression and environmental responsibility.

The first day of the camp was dedicated to strengthening academic foundations. Students participated in structured learning sessions covering English, mathematics, and science. To ensure effective engagement and personalized attention, participants were divided into primary and middle school groups, with sessions tailored to suit their respective learning levels. The teaching approach emphasized clarity of concepts, interactive learning, and practical understanding.

In addition to classroom-style instruction, the day featured a series of creative activities aimed at encouraging innovation and hands-on learning. Students took part in poster-making exercises, recycling-based craft projects, and model-building sessions. These activities not only enhanced creativity but also instilled awareness about sustainability and the importance of responsible resource usage.

The second day of the camp shifted focus toward environmental action and community participation. Students, guided by Interactors, teachers, and Rotary members, actively engaged in tree plantation drives within the school premises. Efforts were also made to create indoor green spaces, contributing to a healthier and more vibrant learning environment. Further, participants undertook painting and basic campus improvement work, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their school.

The program was led by student volunteers from Redbridge International School, whose enthusiasm and commitment played a crucial role in the camp's success. Their leadership, combined with the guidance of educators and Rotary members, created a collaborative environment that encouraged learning, teamwork, and social responsibility.

This initiative reflects Rotary eConnect's continued commitment to community development, sustainability, and youth leadership. By integrating education with real-world action, the organization aims to create meaningful and lasting impact in underserved communities.

Building on the success of this camp, Rotary eConnect has announced plans to organize similar programs in other government schools in the coming months, expanding its reach and furthering its mission of empowering young minds through education and service.
