Kansas City Champions Cup to Bring 415 Teams to Overland Park and Olathe This Weekend

The Kansas City Champions Cup, hosted by Heartland Soccer, draws teams from 12 states and is expected to generate $7.5 million in economic impact for the Kansas City area.
OVERLAND PARK & OLATHE, Kan. - April 16, 2026 - Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, will host thousands of players and their families at the annual Kansas City Champions Cup, April 17-19, at Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.

Held each spring, the tournament has become one of the region's premier spring events, drawing more than 415 teams from 12 states. The large number of visiting teams and families is expected to generate an estimated $7.5 million in economic impact for the Kansas City area, supporting local hotels, restaurants and businesses.

All matches at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex will be live streamed and available for playback through VidSport, a next-generation sports streaming platform. As the world's largest fixed AI camera installation at a soccer-specific facility, VidSport provides fans access to matches from any device and offers individual player highlights to enhance recruitment and game review.

Heartland Soccer's tournament series continues in May with the Midwest Mother's Day Classic, followed by the Kansas City Invitational to close out the spring season.
