Montell Jordan to Perfom May 8th at OKC Gala

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Open Arms Initiative, Oklahoma City's trusted provider of trauma-focused counseling, foster care support, and community mental health services, is proud to announce its 5th Anniversary Gala - a milestone celebration honoring five years of transforming lives across the Oklahoma City community. The evening will feature a special performance by R&B artist Montell Jordan, best known for his #1 hit "This Is How We Do It."
The gala will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at City & State, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Five Years of Healing and Hope
Since its founding, Open Arms Initiative has grown into one of Oklahoma's most comprehensive mental health and child welfare organizations. Rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a loving home, the organization provides an expansive range of services including child and adolescent counseling, foster care and adoption counseling, family therapy, trauma-informed care training, and pro bono therapy services for families in need.
With over 15 years of combined clinical experience, a licensed team of counselors, social workers, and family advocates, and a mission to heal families and empower communities, Open Arms Initiative has become a lifeline for Oklahoma City's most vulnerable children and families - providing care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"At Open Arms Initiative, we plant seeds of hope, water them with truth and love, and trust God to grow them in His time," said a representative of the organization. "This gala is a celebration of five years of that work - and a call to our community to help us continue it."

Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of dinner, community, and celebration, culminating in a live performance by Montell Jordan. The event brings together supporters, donors, community leaders, and advocates who share a commitment to mental health access and child welfare in Oklahoma.
Proceeds from the gala will directly support Open Arms Initiative's nonprofit programs, including:
● Therapeutic Foster Care Support - comprehensive training, 24/7 guidance, and placement support for foster families
● Pro Bono Therapy Services - no-cost counseling for families who face financial barriers to mental health care
● Community Outreach Programs - trauma awareness and mental health education for schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations across Oklahoma City
