PHOENIX, AZ, March 18, 2026 - Scottsdale Collision Center announced this week it is raising the standard for auto body repairs by investing in a manufacturer-guided repair data system across all three of its Phoenix area locations. The shop spends more than $2,000 per month in licensing to access Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repair procedures, giving technicians a precise, manufacturer-approved roadmap for every vehicle they service.

Precision Guided by the Manufacturer

When a vehicle comes in for collision repair, technicians do not rely on general experience alone. The shop's OEM repair data system provides vehicle-specific instructions directly from the manufacturer. These instructions cover weld point locations and types, where panels can be cut and sectioned, and whether individual components should be repaired or replaced.

Scottsdale Collision Center uses AllData, a repair information platform widely used across the automotive service industry. AllData gives technicians access to up-to-date OEM repair procedures covering the vast majority of vehicles on the road today. This allows the shop to reference the exact procedure intended by the manufacturer for virtually every vehicle it services.

"It literally gives you a roadmap of how to repair the vehicle," said Oscar Granados, Owner of Scottsdale Collision Center.

Proving Every Repair Decision

OEM repair data gives the team a documented basis for every repair decision, from determining whether a component can be safely repaired or must be replaced, to supporting those decisions during the insurance claims process. When clarification is needed, the shop points directly to manufacturer guidelines rather than relying on technician opinion alone. This gives both technicians and vehicle owners a clear, manufacturer-backed basis for every call made on the shop floor.

Granados noted that the system allows his team to prove why a part needs to be replaced rather than repaired, using the manufacturer's own recommendations as the standard.

A Full Range of Auto Body Services

The use of manufacturer-guided technology extends across every service Scottsdale Collision Center offers, from dent repair to scanning and calibration. Every vehicle goes through a structured quality control review before it is returned to its owner, ensuring the repair meets the standard the manufacturer set for that vehicle.
