Small Group Soccer is excited to announce that they will be launching a new Youth Training Program in Raleigh, NC starting May 2026.

Small Group Soccer is proud to announce the launch of a youth soccer training program in Raleigh, North Carolina with training sessions starting May 18, 2026. This program offers a unique, intense small group training environment designed to help 10-18 year old players improve and take their soccer skills to the next level in a purposeful and structured fashion.

What differentiates Small Group Soccer from other programs is that using small groups introduces elements of competition, accountability, and realism to which helps players to maximize their training. All of our sessions are 75-90 minutes in length and every portion of training builds directly off of the previous section. There is no wasted time.

Coach Marcus Luster has over 8 years of coaching experience in the youth club and semi-professional level. A College of William and Mary graduate and former College First Team All-Conference and All-State player, Coach Luster has also served as the Youth Academy Director for his current club, head coach in the North Carolina Olympic Development Program and assistant coach for Oak City United FC of the WPSL. Coach Luster's coaching style falls in line with the Play to Discover philosophy of empowering players to lead while the coach guides. His motto is to empower and equip players to be confident through consistency, through adherence to a high level of expectations and through a positive partnership between the player, coach and parent.

Before the first session starts, Coach Marcus sits down with players and their families to figure out what they need to work on. Then, every session follows a clear plan: they start with a warm-up that focuses on technique, introduce and refine a new technical skill, and practice it in a realistic game-like setting. The skills and ideas they learn in one session build on what they learned in the previous one, so they can see how much they're improving over time. This way, they can keep getting better and better.

Small Group Soccer is for kids aged 10 to 18, and it's great for all levels. If you've played competitively before, this training is perfect for you - it helps you improve your skills and think better on the field. The best part is, you're in a small group, so the coaches can see how you're doing, push you to be your best, and make sure you're trying your hardest every time you train.
