When buyers ask AI tools to recommend software - "best billing software for SaaS" or "alternatives to HubSpot" - the AI assembles its answer from a narrow set of web content: comparison pages, alternatives pages, public pricing, and named case studies. Most SaaS companies don't have any of it.
The scorecard evaluates six factors across three categories: whether the company has head-to-head comparison and alternatives pages, whether pricing and case studies are public enough for AI to cite, and whether the company is defining its category terminology or letting competitors do it for them.
The result is a score out of 100 and a list of specific gaps, each explaining why it costs you AI recommendations.

Bottom-of-funnel content - comparison pages, alternative pages, category definitions - sits at the end of a buyer's research process. AI platforms now pull from this same content when building recommendations.
