MIAMI, FL - The QD Fund for Mental Health [https://theqdfund.com/] today announced the opening of its annual scholarship program, offering a $1,000 award to an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a career in healthcare where mental health advocacy and patient-centered care are central to practice.
Founded by registered nurse and healthcare entrepreneur Aaron Chan, RN, The Fund was created to give back to the healthcare professionals who commit their lives to helping others - even while facing their own personal challenges.
Operating in collaboration with QD Holdings Inc., a purpose-driven apparel brand, The Fund serves as the philanthropic foundation of the QD ecosystem. Built to scale alongside QD Apparel (www.wearqd.com [http://www.wearqd.com/]), The Fund directs a portion of each collection toward structured and sustainable mental health initiatives within the healthcare community.

The individuals who care for others are not immune to hardship themselves. This scholarship exists to support those who understand that reality firsthand."
The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students nationwide who are pursuing careers in nursing, medicine, psychology, psychiatry, counseling, social work, and related healthcare disciplines.
Applicants must submit an original essay reflecting on how personal challenge has influenced their understanding of mental health and how that experience will shape their future approach to patient care or advocacy.
Chan emphasizes that strengthening mental wellness within healthcare begins with supporting those entering the profession.
"The Fund represents a belief that the heroes who show up for others deserve support as well," he added. "By investing in students who combine lived resilience with professional ambition, we help build a healthcare system that is both clinically strong and emotionally intelligent."
Applications are due November 15, 2026, with the award announced December 15, 2026. Eligible students across the United States are encouraged to apply.
