BAAR, SWITZERLAND, 7 May 2008 - QINO Flagship AG (Reuters: QINO.BN) announces its investment in Kronomy Inc. (www.kronomy.com), a start-up that is taking social networking to a new dimension by linking personal events, experiences and time to create a collective global memory.

Kronomy effortlessly integrates new and pre-existing content from users' favourite sources - social networks, blogs, shopping portals, news sites, etc - and organises it chronologically on unique 3-D graphical timelines, which are then easily exported to third party sites, e.g. Facebook, MySpace, eBay, LinkedIn or even a corporate website. Whatever content users want to display in their timelines - personal life, music tastes, purchases, career, a product history - Kronomy facilitates it.

“Kronomy is the essential tool for the organisation, storage and display of all forms of content,” says Kronomy CEO and co-founder Michael Hirschbrich. “It is the time portal that will enable users to put all their content into chronological order, display it, share it in a brand new way and embed it anywhere.”

Kronomy chairman and Jajah co-founder Roman Scharf likens it to another success story: “Kronomy does with time what Google Maps does with geography. It adds a revolutionary time element to the browsing experience of social networking and other websites. Its portability and the context it gives offer countless opportunities to monetise user-generated content.”

QINO Flagship's investment in Kronomy reaffirms the Web 2.0 strategy it began with its investment in Jajah Inc. QINO Flagship now has access to networks and opportunities that are normally open only to founders, major strategic partners and the top venture capital providers. “We seek out promising European start-ups and pave their way to Silicon Valley,” explains Daniel Marty, QINO Flagship chairman. “Michael Hirschbrich and Andreas Schietz, Kronomy’s co-founders, have already made the move from Austria to Silicon Valley.”

Every stage of Kronomy's development, from concept through funding to beta launch, has been achieved at phenomenal speed. Its dynamism and potential have already been recognised by an investment consortium that includes lead investor QINO Flagship AG, BrainsToVentures AG (b-to-v) and business angels such as Daniel Mattes (co-founder of Jajah) and Lars Hinrichs (founder and CEO of XING AG). Kronomy is currently seeking further investors for its upcoming A-Round funding.
