China Implements New National Standard for Water Resistant Outdoor Sportswear
This comprehensive standard specifies:
• Garment size and type
• Requirements:
o Physical qualities
o Appearance qualities
• Testing methods
• Judgement rules
• Instructions for use
• Packaging
• Transportation
• Storage for water resistant garments
GB/T 32614-2016 does not apply to water resistant garments aimed at children aged 36 months or younger.
Stakeholders are now advised to check their products against the new standard in order to maintain compliance.
