Finals of the 3rd CICAS kick off in Suzhou

Recently, the finals of the 3rd China's Innovation Challenge on Artificial Intelligence Application Scenes (CICAS) cum. the National Artificial Intelligence + Application Scenario Innovation Conference kicked off in Gusu District, Suzhou.

Jointly sponsored by Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), the Suzhou Municipal People's Government, and Soochow University, and organized by the CICAS Organizing Committee and the Gusu District People's Government, the event, themed "Scenario-Driven Innovation Digital-Intelligent Empowerment", brought together leading AI innovators and industry experts.

A total of 113 top innovative teams from home and abroad attended, along with more than 50 guests, including academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, industry leaders, and representatives from leading enterprises and well-known investment organizations, and over 350 contestants. The opening ceremony attracted about 100 mainstream media outlets.

Liu Chenglin, vice president of CAAI, deputy director of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a nationally recognized high-level talent, presided over the opening ceremony.

Three authoritative achievements were released. The "2025 Report on Top 10 Cities in China with Best Practices in AI Application Scenario Innovation" highlights the differentiated development paths and systematic implementations of leading cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou, offering practical guidance for building regional AI ecosystems.

"The List of 100 AI Application Scenario Innovations in China" presents 100 high-value scenarios across five major fields including intelligent manufacturing, healthcare and transportation.

"The List of Top 50 High-Value AI Application Scenario Demonstration Enterprises in China" recognizes 50 exemplary companies chosen through a multidimensional evaluation system. Ten representatives of these enterprises-CloudWalk Technology, AISpeech, SoundAI, Xiao-i Robot Technology, Zhuiyi, RealAI, CODVISION, RAONE, TONGYUAN, and OBJECT EYE-received the certificate of honor from the CICAS Organizing Committee on site. Their achievements demonstrate the cutting-edge dynamics and practices in the AI sector.

A forum featured Chinese and international academicians from key AI fields sharing insights on strategic planning, technological breakthroughs, industry integration, and applications.

A series of platform initiatives were launched to reinforce the AI industry's foundation: the Intelligent Scenario Evaluation Laboratory was inaugurated; Gusu District's first CPC communities were unveiled; a series of AI-related policies were explained; and the "Gusu Consensus on Nationwide AI+ Application Scenario Innovation" was released. These measures are expected to accelerate the development and opening of coordination and collaboration platforms, unleashing greater potential for innovation in distinctive scenarios.
