Pyroprocessing are used for high-burnup fuel process and requires less cooling times after the process completion. Moreover, it does not use solvents which contain carbon and hydrogen. This method is more compact and simple than aqueous methods and offers the features of reprocessing the fuel on the reactor (molten salt reactor and integral fast reactor) site. This advantage reduces the security issues and avoids the transportation of fuel from one site to another. Pyroprocessing separates many actinides and produces high radioactive fuel.
