Mark Burns and ALLATRA call on US Congress to unite for Ukraine's reconstruction

Under the title "Freedom Has a Name?and It's Called Ukraine" a high-level conference will be held on February 5, 2026, at the Rayburn House Office Building of the US Capitol. The goal of the initiative is to anchor support for Ukraine as a bipartisan moral obligation in the US Congress.

Alliance for bipartisan support

The conference is being organized by Pastor Dr. Mark Burns, who acts as a spiritual diplomat, in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization ALLATRA. The event is explicitly aimed at decision-makers from both major parties - Democrats and Republicans. Against the backdrop of a polarized political environment, the initiators want to shift the focus away from party-political considerations and toward fundamental human rights.

"Freedom is not a partisan issue, but a moral obligation," is the core concern of the organizers.

They are calling for concrete security guarantees for Ukraine, full accountability for war crimes, and long-term commitments to rebuild civilian infrastructure.

Focus: From drone defense to reconstruction

In terms of content, the three-hour conference covers the spectrum from acute military needs to post-conflict scenarios. Pastor Mark Burns announced that speakers will focus in particular on the ongoing threat of Russian drone attacks.

"It's about the long-term commitment that is needed to help Ukraine rebuild after the war," explains Mark Burns. "This includes restoring schools, roads, hospitals, and communities so that Ukraine can rise again in strength and dignity."

Signal to the legislature: The choice of venue in Room 2325 of the Committee on Science, Space & Tech underscores the political relevance: The Rayburn Building houses the offices of numerous members of Congress. The conference is therefore not only a forum for discussion, but also a declaration against the international community rewarding aggression.
