Gulkis, a leading food manufacturing brand in Angola established its first community school in the municipality of Cacuaco, Ícolo e Bengo province as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, which foresees the construction of ten primary and first-cycle secondary schools in the provinces of Luanda and Ícolo e Bengo. The school was officially inaugurated by the Governor of Ícolo e Bengo Province, Auzílio Jacob, in the presence of the senior government officials, community leaders, and local residents. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Gulkis' commitment to education, youth development, and nation-building. The school aims to provide quality education and a nurturing learning environment for children in the region, contributing meaningfully to Angola's long-term social and economic progress.

The newly inaugurated school is the pilot project and the first of ten planned units. The institution is registered as School Complex No. 3052 and is located in the Mayombe B community - Sequele. The infrastructure includes eight classrooms, four restrooms (for children and adults), a laboratory, a library, a meeting room, a general secretariat, offices for the director and vice-director, as well as a multi-purpose field.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by a vibrant cultural program, featuring performances by renowned Angolan actors, singers, chef, and local artists, celebrating the country's rich heritage and emphasizing the role of education in national development. The participation of Angolian actor Sílvio do Nascimento; renowned singer Toty Samed; celebrated chef Olokuanda; family physician Dr. Áuria Machado; digital content creators Erick Belo, Manuelita, Liliano Pedro and Edgar Sousa; pastry chef Muenga Neves; performance coach Marco Victor; and television presenters Karine Manita and Dalila Prata added significant visibility and prestige to the occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor of Ícolo e Bengo Province, Auzílio Jacob appreciated Gulkis' initiative and emphasized the importance of private sector participation in strengthening Angola's education ecosystem."Initiatives like the Gulkis School play a vital role in shaping the future of our children and empowering communities. We encourage more companies to contribute towards education and social development," the Governor said.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, educators, and community members, reflecting strong local support for the initiative.
