Bridgwater, Somerset, UK - Electronic production duo HERATIKS (Justin Krause and James Wiggans) have announced the completion of their biggest project to date: the official remix of Alex Party's iconic 90s anthem "Read My Lips".
Set for release on February 6, 2026 via Nuhope Entertainment, the track reimagines the classic vocal by Shanie (original Alex Party vocalist) into a modern peak-time banger. The release follows the duo's rapid ascent in the South West scene, recently detailed in an exclusive interview with Sophie Knapp on Sedgemoor FM's MODA show.

The "Bass Tech" Evolution
Building on Lizzie Curious's fresh 2026 edit, HERATIKS have injected their signature sound, a style they described in their recent radio interview as "rump shakin' tech and bass house with a garage influence".

The remix bridges the gap between nostalgia and modern production. "We're doing sort of 'Bass Tech', it's a fusion of tech and bass house," Justin explains. "It's not strictly heavy bass house, but it's got that tech influence... still 4x4 tech house, but heavier".

The Curious Connection at Fatboy Slim's Somerset Weekender
The collaboration boasts an incredible origin story. It began at Fatboy Slim's All Back To Minehead weekender in Minehead, Somerset, where Justin and James were working as photographers/videographers for Lizzie Curious's label, Curious Energy.
"Charlie Big [producer working with Shanie] saw us popping up on Lizzie's socials," Justin revealed. "He followed the rabbit hole down, found HERATIKS, heard our debut 'Drop Tha Spot', and fired us an email saying, 'We've got this remix... take Drop Tha Spot and just absolutely send it!'".

Industry Pedigree & Technical Precision
While HERATIKS formed in late 2024, the duo brings decades of industry experience. James Wiggans, a former touring musician with bands including The Hoosiers, brings a live performance mindset to the studio. Justin Krause, a DJ since age 15 , garnered the bug for music production and learned skills under module lecturers such as the late Andy Williams, a founding member of house legends K-Klass during his University course in Wrexham, North Wales.
"Back then in uni I was definitely more into the DJ'ing side of things being one of the resident Student Union DJs and playing around Wrexham in bars and clubs, but Andy's stories and calm demeanor in the studio and then the crafting something from nothing really stayed with me and I started making my own music, not just on the course for the module but in my own time - it wasn't very good and tbh it all got lost on a major harddrive crash - probably for the better. I remember we had the stems for a couple tracks K-Klass had done at the time and then we took a trip to their studio (ROC2) which was in an old Cold War Nuclear Bunker near Wrexham. Being there, seeing the studio really spoke to me and said THIS is what I want to do!!" (Justin Krause)

The remix is a technical feat, hitting 127 channels at one point during production. It was mastered by Oliver Portmento at Most Wanted Audio (Toolroom, Defected, Dirtybird), ensuring it stands up on global club systems.
