James Benton announced the launch of ExecLayer, a patent-pending enterprise software platform defining a new category known as Generative Ops.
ExecLayer introduces an AI-native operational layer that generates, governs, and executes business systems directly from natural language intent. Unlike copilots or no-code tools that assist users inside prebuilt software, ExecLayer generates the software itself. Workflows, data models, permissions, and execution logic are produced as structured, inspectable systems rather than scripts or opaque agent chains.
ExecLayer is protected by a provisional patent application, Application No. 63/952,140, titled "Systems and Methods for Generative Ops Dynamic Generation and Execution of Operational Software via Intent Resolution and Intermediate Schema Representation." The filing covers the platform's intent resolution engine, intermediate schema representation, and governed execution model.
The patented architecture enforces deterministic system generation, auditability, and human oversight. All AI-generated output passes through a structured schema layer before execution, enabling versioning, rollback, and policy enforcement suitable for enterprise and regulated environments.
"We are not building another AI assistant," said James Benton, Founder of ExecLayer. "We are formalizing how intent becomes operational software in a way that can be governed, inspected, and evolved safely."
The ExecLayer ecosystem includes PartsGenie AI, a voice-driven automotive parts intelligence platform with a pending nonprovisional utility patent, ArtVectorPro, a production-focused design system that converts outlines into engraving-ready CNC and laser vectors, and VibeSource, a SwiftUI-based iOS application generation system built from ExecLayer's structured intent output.

ExecLayer is a patent-pending enterprise software platform defining the Generative Ops category. The platform converts natural language intent into governed, executable operational systems, eliminating the need for manual workflow design and brittle system assembly.
The company focuses on building AI-native infrastructure for enterprise operations, software execution, and applied production workflows. ExecLayer is developed and operated by founder James Benton and serves as the core platform behind multiple applied systems in enterprise software, automotive intelligence, and manufacturing design.
