A Year of Personal Milestones
The past twelve months have been defined by the warmth of family and the strength of friendship. A particular highlight was our grand family reunion in England, a time of reconnection that reminded us of the enduring power of kinship. We celebrated the joyous union of a dear friend's marriage and look forward with anticipation to another family member's upcoming wedding. These moments of celebration are the anchors of our lives.
Sport, Culture, and the Great Outdoors
Our commitment to community and health remained steadfast. Whether it was the morning camaraderie of the parkrun or the disciplined spirit of the rugby pitch, the year was spent in motion. I had the distinct honor of both playing and refereeing rugby matches across Hamburg, Berlin, Kiel, Jesteburg, and Bremen, witnessing firsthand the teamwork and resilience that sport inspires.
In our home city of Hamburg, we found inspiration in both art and nature. From the breathtaking acoustics of a show at the Elbphilharmonie to the simple, daily wonder of the Niendorfer Gehege at our doorstep-with its rich fauna and animal diversity-we are reminded of the beauty that surrounds us. The vibrant energy of the summer festival at the Bahrenfelder Trabrennbahn further cemented our love for this city's cultural spirit.
