GGUM provides vital assistance to individuals and families facing urgent needs across the Greenwood area. Now in its seventh year of giving, North West Exteriors donates a percentage of its annual sales to local charitable organizations. Greater Greenwood United Ministry was selected this year due to the vital role its Crisis Ministry plays in the community - particularly during recent months when many families experienced temporary pauses in SNAP benefits, creating immediate food and housing insecurity. "When SNAP benefits were paused, it became very clear how quickly families can fall into crisis," Field said. "GGUM stepped in to help people who were suddenly facing impossible choices. That really stood out to me."

Field also noted a personal connection to GGUM through his church. Rice Memorial Baptist Church, where Field is an active member, is a community partner of Greater Greenwood United Ministry and has long supported its outreach and ministry efforts along with more than 60 other churches in the area.
