RJM Design Group leads the landscape architecture and master planning for the Ontario Sports Empire
Designed to serve athletes, families, and spectators alike, the Ontario Sports Empire will feature an unmatched collection of world-class facilities across 190 acres, including 20 long fields, 14 youth diamond fields, 8 full-size diamond fields, 4 football/rugby fields, and 2 championship baseball fields. The complex is strategically located just 10 minutes from Ontario International Airport, positioning it as a destination facility for both local residents and visitors from across the United States.
RJM Design Group's role encompasses comprehensive site planning, landscape architecture, and experiential design-integrating high-performance athletic fields with inviting public spaces that support community engagement, spectator comfort, and long-term operational efficiency.
Beyond its extensive field inventory, the sports park will include a vibrant family activity area with large video display boards, shaded seating, passive turf areas, and elevated walking concourses that enhance spectator viewing. Additional amenities include restroom and concession buildings, upper-level restaurant-style deck seating with field views, three playgrounds, batting cages, interior walking paths, and thoughtfully designed monument and wayfinding signage.
The project also incorporates robust infrastructure to support high-volume tournament operations, including surface-level parking and a parking structure, pedestrian and vehicular drop-off and loading zones, ticketed gateway entries, ball-containment netting, warehouse storage, and both large and satellite maintenance yards.
