R.W. Bro. Uttam Prasad Kesarwani Contribution to Freemasonry and Society

R.W. Bro. Uttam Prasad Kesarwani, Past Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of India, has been widely acknowledged for his exemplary lifetime contribution to Freemasonry, social service, and community leadership across Northern and Eastern India.

Born on 30th September 1970 into a distinguished family, R.W. Bro. Kesarwani is the son of Late R.W. Bro. Dwarka Prasad Kesarwani, a respected landlord, banker, and government contractor. His maternal grandfather, Late Lala Ram Narain Vaish, served as an Honorary Magistrate in Lucknow and was conferred the title of "Rahees" by the British Government.

Educated at Colvin Taluqdar"s College, Lucknow, he is a keen sportsman and an avid football player. He is a certified value investor through the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and has completed the Inner Engineering program conducted by Sadhguru of the Isha Foundation.

Professionally, R.W. Bro. Kesarwani is the Chairman and Managing Director of U.P. Kisan Associates Private Limited and an active member of ASSOCHAM. His commitment to social service is reflected through leadership and trustee roles in numerous charitable, educational, and community institutions. The Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi, has formally recognised his integrity through a certificate of appreciation.

Initiated into Freemasonry on 10th September 1989 as a LEWIS in Lodge Fragrance No. 236, he rose through the ranks to become the Sixteenth Worshipful Master of the Lodge at the age of 23. He later served twice as Active Deputy Regional Grand Master of Northern India - an unprecedented honour in Kanpur - and also held senior leadership positions in Eastern India and at the national level.

In recognition of his distinguished service, he has been awarded the Bravery Jewel and the 25 Years Long Term Service Jewel. He has consecrated and led numerous Lodges, Chapters, Mark Lodges, and Royal Ark Mariner bodies across India, including serving as Founder Worshipful Master of Lodge Ganga Yamuna Saraswati No. 422 and Lodge Dr. Gaurhari Singhania No. 391.

Beyond Freemasonry, R.W. Bro. Kesarwani has been an active Rotarian since 1990. A Paul Harris Fellow, he has served as Past Secretary of the Rotary Club of Kanpur Gaurav, continuing a family tradition spanning four generations in Rotary International.

He is married to Mrs. Priti Kesarwani since 14th February 1993 and is blessed with two daughters and one son.

Known for his humility, integrity, and inclusive leadership, R.W. Bro. Uttam Prasad Kesarwani continues to inspire generations within and beyond the Masonic fraternity. His life exemplifies the enduring Masonic principle that service to humanity is the highest calling.
