Lammin Säästöpankki and OFAP enter into cooperation - new support for corporate customers in utilizing EU funding

Lammin Säästöpankki is launching a cooperation with EU funding specialist OFAP (Open Funding Alliance & Platform). The aim of the cooperation is to lower the threshold for business customers to apply for funding and advisory services offered by the EU - and thereby support local vitality, the green transition and sustainable growth.

Finnish banks have not traditionally been active in promoting the use of EU funding. Lammin Säästöpankki now seeks to change this model. EU funding enables companies to carry out more substantial investments, which strengthens the vitality of the regions in which they operate.

Supporting sustainable development in its area of operation is part of Lammin Säästöpankki's strategy. The cooperation with OFAP makes it possible for the bank's corporate customers to receive expert advice and coaching for funding applications directly through their own bank.

- Many companies think that EU funding is difficult or that it is only meant for large actors. We want to show that this is not the case. There is a lot of potential, and funding can help develop new solutions, for example in the areas of circular economy, bioeconomy, sustainable agriculture and the green transition, says Anna-Maija Kuosmanen, Director of Business Operations at Lammin Säästöpankki.

- OFAP helps its members, such as the customers of Lammin Säästöpankki, to find suitable direct EU funding instruments, primarily 100% grant projects where the money does not need to be repaid. The service includes writing the applications and their annexes, as well as, where appropriate, representing members in larger consortium projects. OFAP also connects Finnish companies with other funded projects in the OFAP network that need their expertise, says Tomi Räsänen, Managing Director of OFAP.

The cooperation is part of Lammin Säästöpankki's broader objective to support the growth and sustainable development of companies in the region.
