About the Author
Matt Morrison is a native of Lansing, Michigan, who grew up in Northern California as the middle of seven siblings in an athletic family. Majoring in English, he played four years on the UCLA baseball team before one season of professional minor league ball. From writing for the Daily Bruin, a career in sports broadcasting was launched as an intern at CNN Sports in Los Angeles. The journey extended for more than 35 years through parts of five decades and nine states (some twice), working in television and radio. As a writer, his work has recurred in the LA Times, Mayo Clinic News Network, and Bay Window Magazine, among many publications and websites. He is also proficient at window washing, painting, drag bunting, and bartending. Mr. Morrison lives in Southern California with his Queen and two cats in the yard near many of their children and grandchildren.
