FashionSonder Jewellery to Launch Special Collection for International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Promoting Disability Inclusion Through Jewelry Art
Though jewellery speaks no words, it witnesses the unique brilliance of every life. On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, FashionSonder Jewellery writes a shining footnote for "disability inclusion" with masterful craftsmanship.Affordable jewellery brand FashionSonder Jewellery announced today that it will officially launch the "Care for Persons with Disabilities, Shine with the Radiance of Love" themed jewellery series on December 3, 2025, the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Inspired by the UN's 2025 theme "Promoting Disability-Inclusive Societies for Social Progress," the collection uses the language of jewelry art to convey society's care and respect for people with disabilities.
---
Design Philosophy: From "Special Treatment" to "Equal Recognition"
The "Care for Persons with Disabilities, Shine with the Radiance of Love" series centers around the core concept of disability inclusion, seeking to break social stereotypes about people with disabilities and interpret the profound meaning of "equal recognition" through design language.
Co-created by FashionSonder Jewellery's master artisans of intangible cultural heritage and artists with disabilities, the collection practices inclusion principles throughout the entire process from design to production.
The series adopts barrier-free design concepts: necklace clasps feature magnetic technology for easy wearing by people with limited hand mobility; bracelet interiors are engraved with Braille, conveying the warm message of "walking together."
"We invited artists with disabilities to participate in the creative process, ensuring the works truly represent their voices," said Lin Jing, Chief Designer of FashionSonder Jewellery. "Jewelry is no longer just decoration, but a vehicle for promoting social inclusion."
Philanthropic Collaboration: From Commercial Value to Social Value
FashionSonder Jewellery has partnered with multiple professional organizations in this philanthropic project to ensure expertise and impact.
The company announced it will donate 15% of the collection's sales revenue to the Disability Career Development Fund, supporting employment training for people with disabilities and the construction of barrier-free facilities.
The brand also plans to collaborate with several domestic art museums to organize the "Art Without Barriers · Love" touring exhibition, showcasing the creative talents of artists with disabilities and promoting accessibility improvements in public cultural venues.
"Enterprises are not just commercial entities but also drivers of social progress," emphasized Chen Minyi, vice CEO of FashionSonder Jewellery. "We hope that through this collection, every purchase becomes a transmission of goodwill."
Collection Features: Fusion of Eastern Aesthetics and Inclusive Design
The "Care for Persons with Disabilities, Shine with the Radiance of Love" series innovates not only in concept but also in craftsmanship, perfectly integrating traditional jewelry techniques with inclusive design principles.
Inspired by the Eastern philosophical concept of "the moon has its phases of waxing and waning," the collection showcases the beauty of imperfection through gold repair techniques. Primary stones feature special optical effects, metaphorically expressing how everyone can refract unique brilliance.
Materially, the series uses eco-friendly recycled metals and sustainably mined gemstones, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
"These works both inherit the essence of Eastern aesthetics and incorporate modern inclusive concepts," commented art critic Zhang Liwei. "They demonstrate new possibilities for integrating commerce and philanthropy."
International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Context and Significance
Established by the UN General Assembly in 1992, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities aims to promote understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of people with disabilities.
According to UN data, approximately 1.3 billion people globally live with disabilities, representing 16% of the world's population-meaning one in six people faces disability challenges.
People with disabilities are more likely to experience poverty, face employment discrimination, and often remain excluded from social protection systems.
The 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities theme "Promoting Disability-Inclusive Societies for Social Progress" emphasizes the crucial role of disability inclusion in social development.
