This hands-on exposure to biology, agriculture, and the border's unique heritage quietly laid the groundwork for the themes he would one day explore in his fiction.
A Lifetime Devoted to Science and Service
"Noon is a storyteller," readers say-but he is also a scientist. His career reflects more than 50 years in medical laboratories, where precision, analysis, and deep curiosity ruled his daily work. In the U.S. Army, Noon trained at the Army Medical Field Services.
His expertise led him to the Army Blood Transfusion Medical Research.
Noon continued his academic work with studies in the University of Arizona in Liberal Arts, Microbiology, and Medical Technology, and Electrical engineering.
He eventually moved into computer programming-spending 25 years developing and installing laboratory instrument interface software used across the United States and Western Europe.
A Passion for Indigenous History
Noon's deep respect for indigenous American cultures-especially the Inca-became the creative spark behind his novel.
