Crossing the Alps from Tegernsee to Sterzing - the optimized route with TMC Reisen

Rosenheim, November 2025: The DIWA route _"Alpencharme vom Tegernsee nach Sterzing"_ presents itself as a further developed, particularly comfortable crossing of the Alps - created in close cooperation between TMC Reisen and Tourism Experts. The eight-day self-guided tour follows the classic route between Tegernsee, Achensee, Zillertal and Pfitscherjoch and has been specifically optimized by the hiking experts to offer hikers more enjoyment, freedom and scenic variety.

Based on many years of experience, DIE WANDEREXPERTEN have deliberately adapted the route at several key points - for more comfort, flexible day planning and a balanced mix of alpine challenge and feel-good moments. "We have developed the route so that it meets modern requirements while retaining its original character," explains hiking expert Uli Edelmann.

The most important new features of the DIWA route

The tour starts in a relaxed manner with two overnight stays at Lake Tegernsee. On all stages, hikers can choose between easy, classic and alpine routes every day. The particularly strenuous passage from Kreuth via the Blaubergalm has been deliberately replaced by a more pleasant variant - but can be supplemented with an extra night if desired.

The route continues along Lake Achensee, through the Zillertal and over the Pfitscherjoch to South Tyrol, where two final nights in Sterzing give you time to consciously enjoy the charming Alpine town.

Comfort, culinary delights and personal service

DIWA relies on high-quality accommodation, predominantly 4-star hotels with sauna and wellness area.
